In the spirit of looking forward to better times, this week's question is less of a flashback than a flashforward. Which might be a cleverer thing to say if that weren't already the name of some conference back in 2006. Needless to say, homestarrunner dot com is in for some changes — and it's exciting to hear Strong Bad say that those changes are in active development! But pretend for a minute that you're the New Stuff Designer for the website, and pretend that whatever you design, a team of magical overworked web developers will bring to life in three business days. What would your ideal post-Flash homestarrunner dot com look like? Imagine! Program! Share!

Sorry this reply took so long. Lotsa stuff going on. I was going to do this long post about what my ideal wedsight would look like... but then that pretty much happened.
Basically, my idea was to follow the example of Stinkoman 20X6 and divide the site into "classic mode" and "new mode", or whatever it might be called. The "classic" site would lead to the old homepage, and be exactly the same as the old site except emulated. The "new" site would be given a fresh coat of paint, with modern styles and better navigation. A search function, sorting options, all that styles. From the more casual viewers who forget which cartoon had the one-armed dragon man, to the more dedicated viewer who wants to watch every toon in chronological order, this update would make everything easier. What we ended up getting was kind of a mix of both "modes" (it's pretty much the same, but with some improvements), which is just about as good.
Well, that was quicker than I anticipated. Prolly shouldn't have postponed this post so long. My level 10 post on the other hand... there's a reason it's taking so long, just you wait.
