Now that homestarrunner.com has just ended its second decade, which year of its existence was your favorite? Its origins in 1996? The birth of Trogdor in 2003? The two sales of 2011? Its triumphant return in 2014? (I had to combine some years so the poll wouldn't be overwhelmingly long. I lumped the pre-website years together, and the hiatus years, and 2020 since nothing's happened yet.) If I had to rhyme, I'd say that 2008 was pretty great. We got the reveal and release of an entire professionally-developed five-episode video game series, the 200th Strong Bad Email, and a wealth of good updates. Honorable mentions: - 2004 brought us 110 updates, according to the All Toons page. These include numerous games (including Peasant's Quest), the birth of Cheat Commandos, the classic emails flashback and virus, and the first DVDs.
- 2014 hit us with a whopping four major updates after years of silence, plus a promising interview, and the creation of @strongbadactual (the forum won't let me capitalize it for some reason).
- After several years with very few updates, 2017 gave us hope that the hiatus was coming to an end, with weekly Skills of an Artists, frequent shorts, and the takeoff of Tweets.
- Honorable mentions within honorable mentions: 2005 (the release of Stinkoman 20X6 and other great stuff) and 2018 (the reveal of Trogdor!! and semi-regular content related to it).
