Now that Gfd and I both have our copies, I think it's beyond about time that we have a for-real thread for Trogdor!! The Board Game. If you have one, what are your reactions to the finished product? What do you think of the artwork, the game pieces, the fun little extras they threw in? What have your games been like? How would you rate the difficulty? Have any questions come up about the rules that The Brothers Chaps haven't addressed? If you have a schmancy Wyrmwood board, how awesome is it, and why didn't you buy me one? Even if you don't have a copy, what are your thoughts? This is the place for discussing anything about this fine board game... called Trogdor!! The Board Game.
I love this game so much. The meeples, the Keeper descriptions, the gameplay, everything—I don't know how they packed so much majesty into one game. So far since I got it, I've played it three times: once with my family, once with myself (playing two Keepers), and once with some friends. I've lost every single one. I dan't know why. Exprecially since I deliberately avoided having anyone play Hardybardy, and the last game we played on an easy map. It's funny, every time I play I think it's going to be too easy at first, but then Trogdor gets his beef walloped by the countryside. I'll keep at it with a vengeance, though. If anything I'm relieved that they made it challenging. And it's just so fun to play, especially with the soundboard.
I've gotten one rules question answered by Strong Bad already, but I've had more since then, so I thought I'd start a list so I can maybe ask him in a batch sometime. This is mostly minor stuff that I just want a bit of clarification on. Feel free to add your own.
Overall, I'm so glad I have it. I'm going to get so much use out of this beautiful game. I'll be playing it with my grandkids someday. "You're gonna learn who this wingaling dragon is and you're gonna like it!" Anyway. What do you think?

- If the Troghammer spawns directly on Trogdor's tile, does Troggie take damage? (Yes, I ask from experience. Ouch.)
- If a peasant is on a cottage tile when the cottage gets burninated, does the peasant get burninated too?
